Betty T. Tirb, 60, of Fort Wayne, mother of Bluffton's Snug
Restaurant manager Richard S. Tirb, died Dec. 28 at Parkview
Hospital in Fort Wayne. A former resident of Detroit, Mich.,
where she was born on May 4, 1938, Mrs. Tirb had lived in Fort
Wayne the past three years. Surviving are three sons, Richard S.
Tirb of Fort Wayne, Glenn Tirb Jr. of Denver, Colo., and David
L. Brooks of Ocilla, Ga.; three sisters, Elaine Jedele of
Stryker, Ohio, Patricia Rutherford of Tecumseh, Mich., and Nancy
Kies of Moscow, Mich.; a brother, Bill Thomas of California; and
11 grandchildren. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at
Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Homes Wayne Street Chapel, where
calling hours are today from 2 to 5 p.m. Burial will be in
Concordia Cemetery Gardens. Memorials to the American Diabetes
Association or to Trinity English Lutheran Church.
